let's use a simple guide to this. You can measure them and get a
clearance or just insert the valve into guide and wiggle it. No side to side ?
good. Now place finger tip over the spring end of the guide and pull the valve
out. Suction ? nice POP as it comes out ? Good. Replace the tip seals and be
done with it. Replace valves and guides as needed for those that wiggle (.003"
limit at valve head) or no POP. Remember Honda valves cannot be faced. Lap in
only. 1 MM (one) seat width limit. Replacing guides is a PITA. Seats are
hardened and require stone cutters (Neway makes good tools for this) Great
cylinder head work is a lost art. Honda does not recommend using an
interference contact angle (46) only 45 degree contact seat face.

Bob wants to know if he use graphite grease on the valve stem guides
to help seal them better. (Anti-seize). Any ideas? I want to get these valves
to seal better before I re-assemble. Thanks fellas! HotrodMamma.
