Hello fellow Nighthawk Owners.... I live in the Western Slope of Colorado about 5,000 feet and my 84 -- 650 has plenty of power, but soon I plan a trip over the passes and will be cruising at almost 12,000 feet. My girlfriend said her 650 Nighthawk (She now rides a Honda Shadow tiss tiss) had no power at Altitude and would only climb the mountain passes at 55 mph in 5th gear. That seems slow to me and I read somewhere there is a high altitude adjustment I can easily do my self and am wondering if there are any high altitude riders out there who could give me some tips.
Thank you. Nighthawk Nathan By the way being an 1984 Nighthawk my bike is now 25 years old and I got a Colorado Motorcycle Collector plate put on. It is good until 2014. I will post some photos of this plate and bike on Paul's Page sometime. :) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
