In Sept. of 08, A lady ran into me as I was turning left off a major thoroughfare. The bike dropped and has cosmetic damage to the some of the covers and fairing.
I let it sit under a cover for nearly a year while I contemplated whether to keep it and repair it or sell it as it was. We lost a vehicle so we decided to keep it. I bought fork seals, which needed to be replaced anyway, new spark plugs, handle bar to replace the bent one. I repaired the fairing with fiberglass and epoxy. The fork tube cap for the right fork was screwed in so tight that it would not budge. I tried removing it without success and will need to be replaced. If my personal situation did not evolve, then I would continue the work myself and keep it. I am not sure where I will end up. I will be visiting the east coast, but will not have room or ability to tow it. I live near Seattle currently. I figure the bike is worth approximately $1,500 but would settle for $1,000 for all the maintenance and repair it would require to get it back on the road. The title is clear. Whoever buys it would need to come here.
