It does not seem like a good idea to put a LUBRICANT on brake surfaces.  A 
solvent to remove grease is more appropos.

You might be able to put the same silicone stuff on drums you would just have 
to open your brake drum to get it in there, but I could be wrong.

I know there's the silicone stuff to put on disc's.
