As a matter of fact, I had two 650 CBX (nighthawk), and I sold one. In good shape, with rebuilt stator, new regulator, LED lights... to a girl, around 20 yrs old, her first bike. She wrote to me : she loves the bike ;) The second one is in the garage : needs a motor change / rebuild and also changing the stator / regulator. For the moment, I ride a Yamaha 900 XJ, more fitted to our weight in duo (200 kg with clothes and luggage) than the NH (maxs 160 kg). I have recently rebuilt a Yamaha 350 XT to go to work across town and have some fun on dirt roads around here. But still convinced that the 650 NH is the best bike for riding on small mountain roads. I ride in a club, and all the guys / gals, with modern bikes, were surprised to see how fast the 650 NH coud be on small twisty roads. I think that I will finally end up with three bikes :
- 1984 Yamaha 900 XJ, for long rides and/or riding in duo - 1990 Yamaha 350 XT for dirt roads, also riding in town - 1983 Honda 650 CNX (nighthawk), to go to work across town and have fun riding single on mountain roads. I will just lack a HD for the chromes ! At 08:57 10/09/2009 -0600, you wrote: >Hey Jean-Pierre! I was curious if you were still around!
