A hollow point does better. Actually a .22 can do more damage at close range
than a big gun. Why? Because the .22 is a low velocity bullet which tumbles
around in the body and causes a lot of internal damage. High velocity bullets
go straight through unless they are hollow points....then they go straight
through but leave a big hole upon exit....not that I've studied up or
anything...;)

Yeah, a .380 doesn't do much on goons that size. It's my carry gun. I
need to buy a .45 for home.

So you left out the end of your story...did he survive? I had a
problem once with a girl stalking me. She told people that I stole her man from
her so she started following me home and telling people crazy stuff. She
scratched up my car and kicked in the grille too. The cops would do nothing
except talk to her since at the time there were no stalking laws. Finally one
night she was sitting outside of my place in a car and I got pissed. I threw
open my door, got out my gun, and called the cops. I told them that she was
sitting outside of my place again and that my front door was open and if she
comes inside I'm gonna shoot her. I sat in a chair with the gun and waited. I'd
had it. I never saw cops get to my place so fast! The cops finally talked to
her mom (who she was living with) and told her that I was gonna shoot her crazy
daughter if she didn't stop. She finally quit. HotrodMamma....man stealer.

This guy came into my house to beat the sh#t out of me.
Opened the door and walked right in.. just a thug, no smarts. He announced his
intentions and was 15' away. I told him he could walk out or be carried out.
Big creep, about 285. Me ? not big enough. At 15' he didn't qualify as an
eminent threat. Closer, he did. I made up the distance. Still, in my house.
Neighborhood feuds are great.

Just be careful. I deal with firearms on a daily
basis. We are taught not to let anyone within a 4 meter closing distance. Any
closer and it's 50/50 how your "gun" battle will turn out. A saavy attacker
knows exactly how to get inside that distance and use your own gun against you.
Best to just let them take the bike and collect the
insurance for another bike. I'm not losing my life for a bike I paid less than
$3K for. And I'm not willing to go to jail for snuffing someone stupid enough
to steal an inexpensive bike.

Just make sure they're close enough to have
real good powder burns. I've had an encounter with an intruder. I had to close
in on him to make sure.... Middle of the afternoon ! He won't be back.

i had 2 guys try to steel my magna while i was
on it in charleston sc about 18 years ago. they did not get it but they were
going to imprison me for 5 to 8 manditor because my pistol is legal on my bike
but when i had to pull it out to defend myself it became illegal. they hit me
with a uhaul truck in the back but i didnt go down and when i stopped they
tried to pull me from my motorcyle. they did nothing to the 2 extremely tan
gentlemen if you get my drift. not even a ticket. they just took me to jail for
possession of a firearm. come to find out it was election time and cops were
told to make gun charges because that was the platform he was running on. i had
no priors, hs grad, navy. i went through pti to get out of it. a magistrate
told me next time to shoot them and make this statement, "i was attacked, i
tried to get away but couldnt, i defended myself". no details. tell cops
nothing. fuckem. take me to jail. i now work at a prison and see guys like me
all the time.

That's only ONE reason that I don't deal with
cops unless I have to. They'll sit there and twist up everything that you say
too, so I keep it simple. "Yes", "No" and preferably "I want an attorney" will
do just fine.

Either removing mail or tampering with the
mailbox is a federal offense. Sounds like the cops here. They didn't do
anything when a friend of mine had a car stolen; told her, when she told them
where it was, it would be best if she went and stole it back.
She went, with her keys, took it, and the cops
questioned her!!!
If you were a cop, the perp would be in jail
already!!!

My Nighthawk was tipped over from the stand
side over the top and on to the right side, on a down hill a couple of Tuesdays
ago. (so it drained all the gas out of the tank)Butt print in the dust on the
seat.Miss our Nissan by about 1/2 inch. Local police said mine didn't even
qualify for criminal mischief because they didn't think the scratched up
chrome, the paint nicked off the gas tank and the big dent on the brake
qualified. Same police that didn't think having our mailbox blown up with a can
of PCV cement was mischief. Is that a federal offense??

Took the police over 2 hours to come and take a
report,and all they
can do is file it as a criminal mischief NOT a
theft cuz they couldnt
prove they tried to steal it???
