Recently I posted about fuel leaking from the left side cover when my
hi-miles NH was on its sidestand.

Several suggested it was a stuck carb float or bad petcock so I braced
myself for a possible expensive rebuild. In fact, the tech found a buildup of
moisture, a combo of fuel and water, in the airbox, which was cured when
he thoroughly dried and cleaned the thing. No more leak. He said this could
happen over time on high mileage bikes even though I rigorously drain the
plastic tube every 3,000 mile oil change.

I'm at a loss as to why there would be fuel there, without those other
problems, and maybe someone else can explain it, but I'll happily take his
explanation so long as it works, along with the one hour labor, no new parts
charge that came with it.
