I applaud your dedication to your project. I read the threads and see some 
thinking in all of this. Fork changes are touchy. Get it right and great, get 
it wrong and.. It's too bad that funky handling doesn't show up till you get to 
experience it first hand.... I wish you good fortune in this endeavor. Retuning 
for pod filters will test your patience. I always wanted to see someone mod a 
550sc into a great street fighter. After the changes, getting a drivable bike 
that has no flat spots or other running problems is a chore. Unfortunately, 
most pipes and intake changes only detract from drivability. Keep us posted.

I bought my Nighthawk 550 for $150.00 about 2 months ago. I've spent
