With my stock 550 seat, I could swap it for one of those Moto-X seat's with padding on the tank

Yes, corbin seat are hard as rocks, which I am never going to understand. Thanks for the info, I know which one to buy now.

I'm using it on a corbin on my 750 and it probably doesn't add an inch because it 'gives'.  I had a 750 with a stock seat but don't remember what it was like riding on it.  I never used the gel pad on the stock seat. I remember the corbin is much harder than the stock.

Great Graham, that is what I need ed to know. One more question (forgot to ask before), are using it over an stock seat or a Corbin? I have a Corbin and I think it already adds about one inch to the height.
Thanks again,
Javier.

Javier, yes the gel pad.  the medium one is fine for me. I'm just 5'8" 145 pounds.  I don't even use the strap.  It 'sticks' to the seat as is.  Besides, I'm always switching from one bike to another.  Graham

Did you got a gel pad, right? in such case, which size is the best?

Graham, where did you get the gel seat? I'm thinking in getting one myself.

Sean, I have a gel seat I just plonked  on my 2002 NH750 seat (same as 1990's 750 seat).  Gives about an inch more height plus a real soft ride

Has anyone adjusted the shock height (or is it springs) on their
1990's 750?  My seat is just a little low - due to the heals on my new
boots.  When I wear street shoes with no heal its perfect.  The bike
has about 30,000 miles.  Has anyone adjusted the shock height?  I
don't want anything to break and with a 15 year old bike that I am
sure has the original shocks...

Thanks - Sean
