I used to live in an area with wind gusts of 50mph+. A friend of mine had gotten 4 of these fabric shelters. They withstandood the wind gusts for about 3 years. The good thing was, that they offered replacement fabric for them.(another $250 for each one) I myself would find a shelter that would last longer than 3 years. Maybe more money but it will last longer. Good luck
