We're all people, and we all have stories. Some a bit more interesting than others.. But, they are ours. When you get to our age, we have a lot of past to mull over. Whenever some kid (under 40) asks about being "so old" I just reply that they are the ones that have missed a lot. The party has been going on for a long time.

Thanks to Dennis H. and Stanley for sharing some of their personal background stuff here. I know this site is primarily about our beloved Nighthawks and that's a good and sufficient thing in itself. But, all of us got to where we are now in our lives via some hard and twisted roads, and, personally, I find it adds to the site to hear stuff like this, occasionally. A lot of people had nasty stuff happen to them along the way ... and didn't make it this far. They crashed and burned on the side of life's highway.
