You can reposition it on the splines and make adjustments for the new position 
at the rear brake panel. Re-adjusting the brake light switch will be needed too.

Subject: [Nighthawk Lovers] rear brake lever?

I have a 92 Nighthawk 750.  Can the rear brake lever angle be
changed?  My foot becomes uncomfortable resting on top of the lever.
I find my self putting the toe of my boot below the lever.
