You're getting good at this Kyle. 12 volts at the black wire to the switch, no 
volts at the headlight plug... switch AFU. OR, handlebar ground.

What model of nighthawk? Other than new bulb (you might find that the old one 
was fine) possibilities are blown fuse, loose wires/connections, also the 
starter button and starter relay disable the headlight.
