Moses had more to do with the establishment of our country and its prosperity 
than you may realize.  The Ten Commandments, God instructs in the writings of 
Moses, are to be written on our doors, our walls, in our hearts.  Accordingly, 
they are there on the doors of the highest court of our country.  There is also 
Moses holding the stones in bas relief.
It's in Deuteronomy.  There is a lot in Deuteronomy...

No need to apologise,  Christianity indeed is responsible for deaths if you 
mean defending your family against an enemy as a man's duty.  I would sacrifice 
my life if need be in defending my family. Just as the US and Britain in both 
WW1 and WW2 were brought into them in response to the attack of another.
