Hello, I am a proud owner of a vintage Nighthawk 550, 1984. This bike is in beautiful condition and takes me for miles and miles of worry free riding.
There is only one slight ajustment to make. I'm a 6'2'', 220 lbs pound, mostly in legs and i had a tendancy to ride with my feet on the resting pegs on the engine crash bar. With the orginal handle bars (bull horn) I woud be slouched back and did not really find a good position to ride. I recently changed my orginal handel bars for shorter an straighter ones. Ifound the position was more comfortable with a lean forward and feat on the regular foot rest pegs. The problem now is that the handle bars swing into the gas tank and scrapes the paint. Anyone have a reference for the more appropriate handle bar which would give me a good lean forward drive but high enough not to damage my paint job. P.S I am also looking for a honda tank decale for the rightside 1984 model. gold and black Thank you.
