Agreed with the highway pegs, my 250 never had them, but taking my new GL out 
for a 200 mile ride today it was nice to have them...

I forgot to mention: I used both engine guards while learning to ride, when
I dropped the bike once for each side. About the highway pegs, they are a
must for long rides. I drove 3.5 hours from my place to Graham's. The ride
coming back was waaayyy much better with that modification. Pretty cool to
have 3 different riding position for your legs. It really helps.
