My 250 does the same thing, and so does my 450; but every Honda I have had has been a bit touchy at times when it comes to finding neutral. I figure it's just me, never thought about a clutch adjustment, although I have done adjustments also. I have had my 250 from 815 miles showing on the odometer. It has over 15,000 now and still going strong, but haven't used it for a couple of years and now it needs a couple of new cables. Oh - I have owned 7 or 8 over the years: step-thru 50, 90, 160 (one of my fav's) 350, 550 Four, 250, 450. I have been inundated with honey dews lately or I'd have repaired and would be riding my 450. Gotta clean up the caliper. Only has 10,000 miles on it. Hope to get to that next week, after I finish up the bathroom "makeover," which wound up being a lot more than just replacing a tub enclosure and floor. Sink and cabinet, toilet, floor, sub-floor, wall behind old enclosure for the tub, a new wall, and new door casings and baseboards, corner moldings, electrical switches, new heater/light vent, and now I have to take the new toilet out and add a spacer under it because the old hole for the old one was huge and the new one is partially in that big hole... I could continue, but you get the picture. The hallway is next, but I am only going to paint the walls and ceiling and take out the terrible outdoor carpet and put down a sheet of linoleum. I would rather be working on my 450. It will take less time, I am certain. I will be adding my invention to it for improved mileage and performance, and I will do it before the hallway. I can only get away with that because the wife loves the bathroom's new look so immensely. Stanley

The clutch drags a tad, however. Just inconvenient enough to not be able to select neutral with the engine running when the bike is stationery. I select it on the roll and coast to a stop in neutral. I like it to start to engage about halfway through the lever travel. Other than the cable adjustments at the engine or handlebar is there any other place to adjust? Or is this, perhaps, a sign of wear? Thanks, all. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
