Is the idle staying steady at 1000+ rpm or is it surging up and down? I've seen surging happen before on fuel injected cars with a leaking intake manifold gasket. The computer measures the amount of air coming in and adjusts fuel accordingly, however if the gasket is allowing air in after the sensor the computer can't account for it and the idle surges up and down. This mostly happens when the car is cold. Once the engine, and the gasket, warm up they expand a bit and don't let as much air to leak in. Unfortunately seafoam wouldn't fix that issue.
