The valkyere is basicaly a "naked wing) and they can look pretty good too... If you want to feel the type of auto trans you mentioned go test drive can am touring model.... Personaly, if u cant drive a standard shifting bike, you shouldent be riding a bike (medical and physical dissabilites aside that is).... Much the way i feel about these "convertred" (read as retarded) bikes that are suposed to look like trikes, but the orignal rear wheel is still there so it realy just looks like a bike with training wheeles (funny how only HDs have that setup)....

I especially like the older versions that are stripped down like that. Goldwings seem to be a bike with very little middle ground in regards to how people feel about them. People I know either seem to love them or hate them. Oddly, at least 4 of the motorcycle escort riders we have here who ride Harleys for a living ride Goldwings for fun, including the owner of the company. Actually, of the 9 riders they have, I think only two actually own Harleys. I enjoy the styling of the Goldwings, but the newer ones seem like overkill for the kind of riding I enjoy. If I ever wanted to go across the country, I'd get a Wing. Although I am not sure how I feel about the new option of an automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the bars. I have not seen one yet, but I was told it would be offered on the 2010 models by a Honda salesman. It is good to hear that they are not necessarily maintenance nightmares. The "naked wing" is really a nice looking bike. I have never even bothered to check any out because all I have heard is that if they have problems it can get insanely expensive quickly. Good to hear another side of it. Thanks!
