He makes a reasonable sounding argument, but I'd have to get hold of a Material Data Safety Sheet for the Seafoam product...and then pretend I remember enuf high school chemistry to puzzle out his recipe, before I'd use it in a vehicle.
He mentioned the key ingredient is naptha, which -- pure and simple -- is lighter fluid. Been using that for years to clean up petroleum- based adhesive residue left behind when removing stickers, tape, decals, etc. from painted surfaces (and in my Zippo to fire up my Pall Malls). It's also the "secret" ingredient in WD40, according to Snopes. Back before the days of tire dressings, naptha dissolved in water with car shampoo was a standard tire sidewall cleaner.
