There is no comparison between a Harley and my Hawk...that's for sure. The reason that I do like the Harleys is because there are so many parts for them out there and they are (mostly) simple to fix. There's a Harley dealer in nearly every town so I'm not too nervous about taking my Harley on long trips. I've had a lot of fun on all of my bikes. I own a put-put and a vroom-vroom and they are nothing alike but both have their advantages.

That along with some of the other "engineering" (I use that term lightly with the British) decisions has cured me of the need to ever own any British vehicle. Actually he does have a near mint MG Midget that's actually very fast at the autocross track. I've liked most Harley owners I've meet, heck one even stopped to ask if I was ok when I broke down due to a pinched valve cover gasket, but they are a different breed of rider than those who prefer Jap bikes, no offense Kim. :) I can't say I think much of the machines themselves though and I was nearly crying when in the middle of that video. The level of refinement and engineering in the '95 1200 Sportster I rode was highly inferior to my $2000 (in '82!) motorcycle. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
