I think my starter clutch went out today. I went to start it after I washed it yesterday, and it was turning over okay. I tried to start it this morning but I flooded it. Today I came home from work, turned it over a few times and then the starter started whirring but no engine rotation. I finally got it to start after rolling it in 3rd. But the starter doesn't engage the crank at all. So I guess after 40K miles and 25 years I think it's done.
