Exactly, it ended halfway through season one. Fox also ran all of the episodes out of order, so it's best if you never saw it on TV. Get the box set (only 14 episodes) and watch them in the correct order. Serenity will make a lot more sense after that. It'll still fill a bit rushed because it's trying to say so much in just a couple hours, but it'll make a lot more sense.The fight scene with River and the reevers will be cooler too ;)
