This summer has been exceptionally hot on account of a drastic collapse of the
thermosphere.  It isn't just the 100% humidity, it's the barrage of what is
called extreme gamma rays, which are normally blocked because of the
thermosphere.  The usual output of heat out of a square meter of ground is
around 1050 watts, but because of the penetration of extreme gamma radiation it
is more like 1,400 watts per square meter.  I can feel it and I didn't know
what
was the difference until I read about it
If you notice, it feels like an oven even when you go out in the shade.  I
don't
burn, but I have experienced a sunburn even through my tan, working in the
sun.
I finally decided that I have to do my grass cutting in the early morning or
late afternoon, now, and wouldn't let my boys work either, except at those
times.

Even riding is not as much fun, because the humidity is as Kyle stated and the
temp hovering around 100 to 103, with an index upward of 110 - 115.
I would rather be in 105 heat in Arizona, than 95 here in La. or Houston.
But as long as one keeps moving, it's cool enough.  I know - hard to do in city
traffic...

I agree, I can't wait until winter when I can ride more comfortably.
Heat index of 110 with 100% humidity is pretty rough. I winter I can
put on more clothes, in summer I still gotta wear my helmet, pants,
and jacket.
