Looks good, not far away, but I wouldn't dish out $1500 for it as a starting
bid.

Starting bid like that means he has a reserve, he just wants to be able to
say he doesn't.

NADA and other guides are putting an '85 450 @ $1500 for a perfect bike,
$1000 for "very good," which is where this one probably falls.

If I had money I would wait this one out, then try to go sub-$1k when it
doesn't sell...$950 or so.

Looks like an excellent bike for someone you know who might want to
learn to ride on a NH!
        I'm a little skeptical on the price though - bit high or is it me?
