The penny was just a floor. I removed it once the epoxy set up. It seems to be holding up ok so far. I haven't opened the top of the reservoirs to check the inside lately though the outside is still dry. I did check a few mos after doing it and it was still ok. I'll try to peek inside one of them in a day or two and let you know how it looks in there today.It's not clear enough to see the level, but I was mainly worried about plugging the gaping hole with something other than paper towel. If not epoxy one could maybe melt some clear plastic to inject in there instead. You'd have to make sure it gets all around and doesn't leave any air pockets though.
