Safer way is to buy a cheap cigar and, with the motor running, blow a
steady narrow stream of smoke into the area where you suspect the
leak.

Park the lit cigar an arm's length or more away from the bike, in case
there's a gas leak.

Or fix the long red straw onto a can of WD40 and spray into the area
with the engine running and listen for an rpm change.
