Day peeps can't seem to grasp the concept, either. Their outlook seems to be, if you're working a night schedule, you're not actually "working."
I usually counter with the argument that with all the traffic jams, telephone tag, office politics, crowds, waiting in line and general bedlam of people going about getting in each other's way, how much actual work gets done during the day.I Things that make you go ...."hmm!" I've worked nights for years because I savor the solitude. And I can get more done, since I don't have bothersome individuals interrupting me all the time. I've even found a watering hole that has an 8 a.m. happy hour, just for night-shifters.
