I just stumbled on this and it may be of interest. It would allow you to add accessories without having to draw power through the stock wiring and switches, it can provide constant voltage and if you give the built in relay a switched source then it will provide switched power as well. Looks like it could be used as a replacement fuse panel as well. http://www.fuzeblocks.com/
