Yeah, the sand that is the South's primary anti-ice material is a pain in the butt for riding. I have to take an S curve downhill to get to the office, and it was /liberally/ sanded with fine-grain, loose sand after the last ice storm. I totally forgot about it, and nearly had a painful reminder of what loss of traction means... but I recovered without hitting the ground this time. :D
