I should add: You can do them yourself. Search some back threads because the subject has come up before. Usually when a starter goes bad it is just the brushes. Pick up a rebuild kid and have at it. The first time, it took me like an hour to figure everything out, now I can take it off the bike, rebuild, and put back on in 30 minutes.
