Its the same as the one on the 83-86 650. ebay. this design for the alternator circuit was only used one year and is different from what you may expect. there isn't actually a rotoe and a stator in the way most people usually think of them. There is the regulator/recitifier unit (finned thing below the left side cover with two plugs sticking out) there is the stator which also contains an "excitier winding", whichis in electrro magnet set up that induces a field in the rotor. this winding is the usual suspect if charging is weak.
