On a club ride, my ride sidecover came loose at highway speed and actually hit the Gold Wing following me. Luckily, no damage. He told me where it had happened and the next morning I rode slowly down the road at that point and actually found the part. I've since drilled a little hole in the bottom part of each cover and zip tied them to the frame. No more lost covers since.
