Hey Jim, welcome. If you aren't absolutely dead set on a stock filter element, you can always try looking for an aftermarket element, like a UNI or K&N filter. Friend of mine picked up a UNI replacement from Bikebandit.com for ~$20 or so for his 83 650, so hopefully there would be one out there to fit your bike.
