I bought a 1995 NH 250 for a great price too - sold my scooter for
$1200 and bought the NH for $1300 with only 2,700 miles, so it was
great not having to spend too much. The guy who sold it to me had it
for about a year, and he'd bought it from one of our local MSF schools
- needless to say, it looked like, still looks like, it's been dropped
a couple of times, maybe laid down, too. The gas tank has two dents
and the handlebars have some skid marks, too.

Before I bought it, I took it to a shop that I trust and they rode it
and did a few tests, and when they came back they said the one thing
that they noticed was that the handlebars were bent. He said that if
I wanted those fixed he could do it, but he also said that the degree
to which they were bent wasn't really a big deal. I would have assumed
it was a pretty big deal, but he point it out and said that they would
be fine. With that in mind, I don't know if that means that had they
been bent more significantly it would have been an issue, but I would
have assumed that it would have been an issue regardless, so anyway,
just thought I'd share my experience.

Congrats on your NH - I love mine. I also just bought the manual, so
if you need any info from it, just let me know.
