Hey Joey, Luckily, It was only a mile home, and I could take mainly neighborhood roads. You know, I've only drive a couple of other scooters besides my own, and I've got the say, the Metropolitan is a great little scooter. Surprisingly enough, it didn't handle too badly. They make the Metropolitan so that it pretty much drives itself. In fact, that's the one thing that makes it sort of dangerous! Mine would hit 41 or 42 miles per hour, but it's just so different from driving a motorcycle... the scooter almost makes you feel like you don't have to pay attention. I would sort of have to snap myself out of it, remind myself that I could get seriously hurt, despite the fact that it looked like I was driving around on a toy, you know?
I miss my scooter, but I'm probably, well no doubt about it actually, I'm way more careful on the motorcycle. That said, if you're ever in the market for a scooter, I highly recommend the Metropolitans. -Max On May 16, 1:51 pm, Joey Kelley <[email protected]> wrote: > Max, > I'm guessing that a scooter doesn't handle that well with 25 pounds of > Grapefruit riding on the floorboard???? > -Joey > > > > > > > > > > On Mon, May 16, 2011 at 12:57 PM, Max <[email protected]> wrote: > > As promised, here are a few pics of some of my largest hauls - > > >https://picasaweb.google.com/117513003577782445383/CarryingALoadOnASc... > > > On May 16, 9:33 am, Max <[email protected]> wrote: > > > When I drove a scooter for 2 years before getting my motorcycle, there > > > is no limit to the ridiculous amount of stuff I would carry.
