If your new to riding I highly recommend the book "proficient motorcycling" it was written by a man who was a safety column editor for a motorcycle magazine for 20+ years. It not only teaches you technique but offers safety tips and situational awareness from thousands of riders relating their experiences. I'm sure you can get a used copy cheap off amazon. While the bike is being worked on I am taking the two day course over at the community college. I don't have any intention of riding about without proper instruction. Good advice though and always appropriate for beginners like me. :) Thanks Paul!
