The stop in the middle is a clear indication of the need to replace
steering bearings.

But I would not be quick to blame left-side tire wear on the steering
bearing  defect.  It sounds like you may have front/rear tire
misalignment in addition to the bearing problem.

I'd fix the bearing first, then address the misalignment as a separate
issue.

You'll need a shop manual to guide you with both.
