Cool a reasonable solution to my tank problem. lol.

I'm under a self imposed budget of $500 to have a running functional ridable
bike. Once it passes that I'll raise it's limit to $1k. Once I have my full
licence and it pays me back in happy days or $/km I'll spend even more to
incrementally restore it.

I have a local co that will fix the tank for $203, I could do it myself for
$40-50???. Or weld it up and hope I find all of them...

Carbs need to be completely torn down and cleaned :o( I can have that done for
$90hr apx 1.5 hours. Or do it myself for the cost of stress and time. (I hate
multiple adjustment settings.)
I need a batt and solenoid. At the moment I have 1ga jumper cables going to my
truck. (the alt alone has enough amps to start the bike), The solenoid I'm
jumping with a piece of wire.
bike $250
keys $50.40
batt $70 (walmart)
solenoid $20-50???
Once running, Leakers tank service $203. Over budget but the bottle would allow
me to get to the next level of budget.

Loved the obscure reference. I was just about to google when it hit me.
