Went for a long ride tonight. Mission Bridge into mission stopping
for bike fuel, #7 west to Maple ridge motor vehicles, borrowed their
MSA test lot for some practice, then back on #7 to CC, onto Clark
through Port Moody, up over and down North Road to #7 west again,
through bby into van, stopped to look at the Oly torch and Lego Orca,
then around Stanley Park, through the downtown core it started to
rain, up to Kingsway heading for bby, stopped at Metrotown McD's for
Pat fuel, With the rain now stopped, back onto Kingsway into New West
and over the Pattulo Bridge, up KGH to fraser till Langley, then onto
56 to 264, It was raining again so we opted for the quick route via
the freeway, Off at Clearbrook cause we couldn't see, down king and
over to Marshal up to Guilford and home at last. Cold, wet, and assnumb.
If I can figure out how to link a google map I'll make one and post it.
Can't wait to do it again... without the rain this time. 200ish kms
5.7 cents to the km.
Found a few more issues to sort on the Bike.
Speedo reads low, odo is correct. Trip odo hundreds sits halfway
between numbers. So I'll crack it open again and see if I can fix the
trip odo and lube the speedo needle.
Fork seals need to be changed. :o(
Needs a cup holder or I need a camel back. As Dan demonstrated you
can drink from a McStraw wish a full face helmet on.
I need to make a place to dump sunglasses in a hurry. We turned north
after driving west into the sun, I was suddenly blind and needed to
get my glasses off and stuff them somewhere while going from light to
light in very short blocks.
Ign key lock... something is loose, must find and fix.
Charging system, seems to be boiling the batt. Must check batt
condition and verify charging system. I wouldn't mind running a Volt
gauge for a little while.
Oil leak... Seems to have a leak by the drain plug. must investigate
and solve, change oil and filter while I'm there.
Clutch... check cable length, and adjustment. Adjust as needed.
Helmet lock, hangs helmet on hot exhaust...
GPS mount.
Adjust rear brake free travel. fix or replace rear light switch.
Turn signal lights. Left works fine, right when it feels like it, usually not.
New headlight. This one is dim and yellow.
more washing...

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people
to know "why" I look this way. I've traveled a long way and some of
the roads weren't paved.
