No advanced warning for me, I was on a fwy overpass turning about 70 when he suddenly popped over the guardrail and filled my field of vision full of flapping pigeon butt.

was cleaning up road kill on my side. It took off as I approached
running 55. With a wall of trees on both sides it could not turn. I
ducked under my spitfire windshield and missed the bird by what could
not have been more than a couple of inches. Having five feet of wings
pass that close to my head formed a new habit. Now when I come up on
bird, or a walking bag of hurt for that matter, I tap the horn well in
advance to shew them away.
