I agree on checking salvage yards. I got mine from a friend who is tearing apart and selling off pieces of his old honda. It's an older rack, off the shelf (not custom built) but it fits my 82 CB750SC, I just had to get longer screws than what was in my bike originally, but the mounting holes line up perfectly. The thing is, when I was at a local salvage shop about 2 weeks ago I saw an identical rack hanging on the wall for sale. It's not the prettiest, but functional.
