Yes it's the salt in the air.  The furthest you can get away from the
ocean is maybe 50 miles on the biggest island - there is a lot of salt
in the air. The thing that I can't get used too is the salt getting
stuck in the screens of my windows - I have to clean them at least
once a month. To be clear, I'd still never live anywhere else in the
world.  If you fit here you'll never leave, it take a "different" type
of person - probably the same missing gene that things riding a
motorcycle every day rain or shine is a good idea....
