Well, you'll find other easter eggs in the Clymer diagram too. I also found some shenanigans in the diagram for the gear selector switch and I've heard that some foolishment has been added to the bit about the coils too. If he were wrong about the color of the wires on both ends but at least consistent that'd be one thing, but he's not. If I were you, and I were thinking about rewiring the bike, I'd break down and get the Honda manual.
