If that's case, I've still got 3k to go. Can't wait. I want one of

those Koso all-in-wonders that makes coffee in the morning (!)

      Hey there!

I'm seriously missing my old '85 CB450SC, so I'm looking to find a new

one to purchase.

I'm looking for something in good shape that's been taken care of by

the owner. I'm only interested in purchasing a 1985 Honda CB450SC in

Candy Andromeda Red. I'm in Seattle, so Washington, Oregon, and Idado/

Western Montana are best locations.

It needs to be ridable as I will most likely have to ride it at least

to Spokane.

If you or someone you know is selling, please contact me.

Thanks!

Scott

Good wish list, but don't give up on electronic dumpster-diving (ebay,

craigslist). It'll probly produce more hits than you'll find here.

It's exactly that -- a plenum. It keeps a balanced amount of air

flowing to multiple carbs. Otherwise you'd go crazy keeping

individual carbs tuned.

With a plenum, synch the vacuum and you're done.

In my opinion the clymer is a must. I bought the owners manual too, but
I'm a little nostalgic I guess you could say. Its a lot smaller thanks I
thought it would be. It reminds me of those religious pamphlets you get handed
sometimes when you go to the flea market or state fair. LOL

Yeah, that's exactly why I bought the manual for mine. Purely because

that's what they bike came with originally.

Depends on how detail-oriented you are. I have the Honda Service

Manual, the owner's manual, Chilton's and the Honda Common Service

Manual.

Each has details the others don't, but together they make up a

complete library. Depends on whether you want a quick-and-dirty

repair or on whether you want a complete understanding of the system

you're working on.

$100 all and you'll probly save that much on your first DIY project.

Clymer, I meant. Chilton's for my Ford pickup.

The proper name for them is fairings. That particular type is

unusual and I've seen them before, recognizing them by the large, what

looks to be washers, holding the pieces together.

Don't know where you would find them (or why you would want to --

they look pretty primitive to me, compared to the lines of the bike --

which is probly why they're rare). But someone obviously produces

them, or has in the past. It's a matter of finding out who.
