Over the summer I purchased an 85' Nighthawk 650 for $700 bucks. The previous owner had let it sit in his garage for 8 years without being started or touched. After bring the bike home I drained the old gas and put new gas in and believe it or not it fired right up and ran perfect. The bike was kept in a stone garage so a lot of mositure got to the bike. I have spend hours cleaning the pipes off and they look great now. The problem I'm having now is the polished pieces. It seems the clear coat has been eaten away so I need to do something with them! With 6000 miles on the bike now I really want to bring it back to its glory while also putting a few touches of my own. Should I have them repolished?? I was also thinking about getting them powder coated and was thinking black for the trim pieces, grab bar, and possible the front forks? What do you guys think? The bike is Candy Blue
