You are getting the parts for rebuilding the clutch and stripped gears for under $100 on ebay. Wow! Thats great to know. I too would try to get him down even further, and they say the tires are new. How long has it been since they were Installed? Mine looked new too until you looked real hard and then you could see dry rot. My 84 650 was running and in great condition and I picked that up for 1200. I may have overpaid a tad knowing now it needed tires and clutch master and slave rebuilds, but I would not under estimate the value of you time and labor for someone elses gain.
