Took it all apart today. Did have 12.6v coming to the fuse box through the main connector, unplugged it and 2 others, and when I put them back in the second time... dashboard was on... for 10 seconds, then off... odd... So I did it again, this time is stayed on... figured I'd try my luck and start it... heard a click towards the battery, then all off again... Put it all back together, and the light was on, but very dim... like if the battery was drained... Checked the battery.. 12.4v... gggrrrr So I decided that if nothing else, the battery would charge for the night, even if the charger says it is fully charged. I'm giving this one more try tomorrow but all suggestions welcome... Stef Kyle Munz <[email protected]> Oct 16 12:03AM -0500 ^ I tore my fuseblock all apart. I removed the metal connectors from all the plastic molex plugs and stretched them out so when it went back together it'd be a tight connection. I also took light sandpaper to all the metal bits to get rid of any corrosion. Then I packed it full of dielectric grease before snapping it back together. -Kyle "Allen Thomas" <[email protected]> Oct 16 06:29AM ^ Sound advice. I use a 3 position switch so I still have an On, off and park position. Depending on the set up if the key is used for the fork lock, you can leave it functional and not worry about someone taking your bike... Wiring is pretty easy and took me a total of <$5 and maybe an hour... I mounted mine right behind where the passengers leg passes over the plastic fairing... -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Nighthawk Motorcycle Lovers!" group.
