Thanks for that good advice. There is one fairly close by that I will be able to check out -when the snow clears here in PA. Graham

When I was living in Europe, I was driving at VT500C in my young years
and thought the PC was a great alternative... until I actually drove
one. It is a motorcycle, but consider it more "open air mean of
transportation". There is no real "life" or spirit in it. It takes you
from point A to point B in relative comfort, but you miss the wish to
take your bike... You get lot more guts out of a SilverWing honda
scooter.

At the time I was using my bike everyday to commute (mostly city). If
you want an oldy with comfort and humf, try the TDM850 yamaha. It's
main default is being a Yamaha (nothing is as good as Hondas) but it
is a good one, and I remember doing 140 mph on the highway in France,
with high screen and top case in the back, sitting straight up,
thinking... wouau... (did that only once, but I still remember it).

So my advice : test drive it before to make sure you're "happy" on
it !

I had a crush on those myself back a few years ago. The going rate
seems to be between $3-4K, depending on year and condition.

I went with my first NH when I learned so much of the Tupperware had
to be removed to do the most basic of maintenance. Oil changes, no
problem. But 4 panels had to come off to get at the spark plugs, 7
just to look at the battery.

Here's a Wikipedia link for background and specifics:

I like the looks and design of it myself and it definitely has a cult-
like following, but for my money, my 750 is more practical.

Those of you that own or have owned a Pacific Coast can maybe help me
here. I'm considering trading a 1990 VMax for a 1989 PC with 27k
miles on it. My VMax I have advertised for $3900. What do you think a PC is worth? My wife would love to ride on the back of a PC. I'll
attach a pic of the PC, Graham
