looking forward to seeing that Joe.
I have a rack that I think someone made for a 700S. I took it off, cleaned it up and repainted it black - never put it back on though, Graham

Hi Sean,

I'd like to see pics of the bike (and I'm sure others would also). I'm
interersted in anything that might (possibly) still be in nice shape.
Is there a clear/uncracked dash lens on the gauge cluster?..I assume
the exhaust is rusted??

As Kyle stated, there are 2 popular kinds of engine guards for these
bikes (and I have one bike with guards I've never seen before). The
wrap around guards are the most desirable of all the guards that were
available, and thus more expensive (anywhere from $200.00-up). There
were also a few different lughgage racks that could be on the bike,
and again, the Hondaline rack is most desirable/expensive (even
needing re-doing).

ps. Assuming I'm the "Joe" you were talking about, then yes, at least
4 of each of those items on various bikes. I'm not a big fan of that
stuff, but I've left those options on the bikes that came with them,
as I don't want/need all of them looking exactly the same.....

I'm going to try and post 2 pics of my red '85 w/ 6K miles (bought
from a fellow forum member), which has several factory Hondaline parts/
options on it, including the luggage rack.

My mechanic has an abandoned 700s that has a rear rack and engine
guards. The engine is blown and the owner abandoned the bike. The
rack and engine guard are in rough condition - they have some rust and
will need to be painted or powder coated. However, I've never seen a
rack or engine guards on any of these bikes - I'm sure Joe has at
least 4 that have them - how much are these worth? I'd like to sell
them for him to help him recover his loss on the bike. It also has
other parts but it looks like the bike sat outside in Hawaii for a
while - I'm not sure anything else will be worth salvaging.

It's a complete bike so let me know if you need something, I can take
a picture and we can go from there.
